Within the server, contributors are expected to treat fellow contributors and moderators with respect. However, we understand that life happens and there may be reasons why someone may not be able to finish a piece on time. If a contributor cannot complete a check in or submission on time, we request that they communicate this with a mod so they can be granted an extension. We request that all contributors create new, original work for the zine. What is a zine?
Zines are fan-made collections of artwork and writings focused on a particular theme. In the case of Chrisos Dyosmos, the chosen focus is the pairing between Phainon and Anaxa from the game Honkai: Star Rail.
Will the zine be physical or digital?
The SFW zine will be available in both physical (A5, perfect bound) and digital forms. The NSFW zine will be digital only. Physical merchandise will also be an option for purchase.
Is there a theme for this zine?
This zine is themed around the romantic relationship of Phainon and Anaxa. This can be depicted in whatever way the contributor would like to portray it (canon-divergent or any other AUs) as long as it adheres to our creation guidelines.
What is the compensation model for the zine?
Chrisos Dyosmos is for profit. Our goal is to compensate contributors with a full bundle of the zine, including shipping at no extra cost if possible, and at minimum, all contributors will be guaranteed a free digital copy of the zine. All remaining profits will be distributed evenly between mods and contributors.
Is this zine SFW?
Yes, the main zine is SFW, with a content rating of 16+. On the other hand, the optional side NSFW zine will have the minimum content rating of 18+. NSFW content will feature strictly PhaiNaxa (Top!Phainon x Bottom!Anaxa).
Are characters other than Phainon and Anaxa allowed?
Yes, characters that have ties to Phainon and Anaxa will be allowed in zine content. However, these characters should not be the main focus of the piece.
Are other ships allowed?
Yes, though it should not be the main focus. Chrisos Dyosmos focuses strictly on the pairing between Phainon and Anaxa. We ask that contributors do not include any pairing that involves the two having an intimate relationship with another character to ensure that the focus remains on the pairing between Anaxa and Phainon.
How many contributors are you looking to accept?
We are looking to accept the following numbers of contributors EXCLUDING guests:
- 28 SFW and 14 NSFW page artists
- 4 SFW and 3 NSFW writers
- 2 SFW and 2 NSFW comic artists
- 4 merch artists
This is subject to change based on the result of our interest check and contributor applications.
Can I apply to more than one position?
Yes, but you can only be accepted for one. Your applications for other positions will not affect one another.
Do I need zine experience to apply?
Not at all! All applications will be considered regardless of experience.
What are check-ins?
Check-ins are stages throughout the creation period where contributors are asked to show progress of their pieces. These are crucial for moderators to ensure contributors are on schedule as well as adhering to creation and formatting guidelines. Check-ins are also a way for contributors to request feedback and critique if needed.
Details of what is expected for each check-in will be detailed in our Discord server. The dates for each check-in are provided on our schedule.
What happens if I miss a deadline?
We’re happy to work with contributors and extend most deadlines as long as you communicate with us.
Several reminders will be posted in the server throughout the creation period. Failure to respect deadlines or respond to pings after a long period of time will result in removal from the project. We understand that life happens so if you feel that you will not be able to meet a deadline, please ask for an extension sooner rather than later!
Please note that we will be very firm on the final submission date in order to format the zine and prepare preorders in a timely manner.
Do I need to have a Discord account?
Yes, a Discord account is required if you are accepted into the zine. All communications will be done through the zine’s server.
Is the use of AI allowed in this zine?
Any usage of AI is not allowed in this zine.
May I share works in progress I’ve done for this zine?
No, we ask that you do not share or stream anything related to your piece outside of the server. Your piece and its contents should remain private until you are given the go ahead by the mod team.
Sharing progress within the zine’s server is perfectly fine and encouraged!
Will I be able to post/sell my finished piece?
All contributors will be allowed to post and sell their finished pieces once the project is complete.
Where are you shipping from and which countries are you shipping to?
We will be shipping from the UK and using Royal Mail. You can check the list of countries they currently have restrictions to on their website.
https://www.royalmail.com/international-incident-bulletin
Will orders be tracked?
When placing an order on our storefront, you will have the option to select either tracked or untracked shipping, depending on which method suits you best.
Please note that if you select untracked shipping, your shipping costs will be reduced, however if the package goes missing in transit, we will not be able to make a claim with the courier and therefore we will not be able to offer a replacement or refund for the lost items.
Will shipping costs include tax and customs fees?
No, shipping costs will not include any customs fees or taxes for shipment into the recipient’s country. This will be the responsibility of the buyer.
The only exclusion to this is shipments to the USA, where PDDP will be paid prior to shipping as this is now a requirement for sending with Royal Mail. This means that there will be ~$3-$5 increase to the raw shipping costs on the website but no tariff duties will be required for deliveries.
My question isn't here. Where can I ask?
Feel free to send us an email or reach out via our question form.
